*The Spring 2027 Semester of the Little Singers Class will be March 8th - April 19th, 2027. Register for BOTH the Fall and Spring classes at the same time to save even more! ($15 discount applied automatically).
Parent Participation:
This class is for the Parent/Grandparent and Child to enjoy together! Please plan to have a Parent/Grandparent stay and sit with your Little Singer. You will participate in the class with your child by singing along, doing the actions, and being their buddy to help them learn the music throughout each class.
About the Little Singers Class this year:
The Little Singers Choir with the Roanoke Valley Children's Choir is a fun way to introduce your child to the joy of music! The choir includes lots of fun singing, as well as movement, actions, activities, and games for our young singers! This choir for children ages 4-6 is on Mondays from 4:00-4:30 pm. We ask that a parent, grandparent, or caregiver stay and participate in the class with their child.
The choir is taught by RVCC Director of 40 years, Ms. Davidson. The Little Singers will be performing “Gift for Santa" and "I'm Gonna Wrap Up Myself for Christmas” at the RVCC Holiday Concert this year. These two songs together tell an adorable story about sharing kindness and surprising Santa with a hug. The costume for the Little Singers is one of our favorites this year! Each family will make your own costume by wrapping a cardboard box like a present for your child to wear. (More instructions about how to make the costume will be provided during the the class.)
🏠 The location of the Little Singers Choir rehearsals each Monday will be at Bethel Baptist Church - 1601 S Colorado St, Salem, VA 24153
The Little Singers will be performing at the RVCC 40th Annual Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 12th, 2026 at Christian Life International Church in Salem, VA.
Celebrating 40 Years of RVCC!
It's the 40th anniversary of the Roanoke Valley Children's Choir! The choir program was established in 1987 by Director, Kimberly Davidson.
To celebrate the 40th year RVCC Anniversary, we are singing many of our favorite previous performed songs across the past 40 years. The Little Singers will be performing "I'm Gonna Wrap Up Myself for Christmas” at the RVCC Holiday Concert this year. Here is a photo from 1993 when the Little Singers (previously called the Sibling Choir) performed the same song all dressed as presents!
Learn Music and have FUN!
This choir for ages 4-6 will focus on nurturing and developing each child’s love of music through song, movements, activities, games, and more! Your child will learn basic music theory facts, practice how to match pitch, learn about singing with choral vowel sounds, learn about keeping a steady rhythm, practice movements and actions to the music, and have so much FUN singing along!
