C Choir Virtual Concert Audio Recording Instructions
THE C CHOIR HAs 2 VIRTUAL CONCERT SONGS TO RECORD
Peace on Earth
Edelweiss (optionally with a Family Member)
To record your audio, you will need:
· The ACCOMPANIMENT TRACK for the AUDIO RECORDING
· Headphones or earbuds
· One device to play the accompaniment track through headphones while you record
· A second device (mobile phone) to record your singing voice
· A voice recorder app on your mobile phone (see link below to download one if you don't already have one)
Voice Recorder App to Download on your mobile phone (if needed): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coffeebeanventures.easyvoicerecorder
RECORDING YOUR AUDIO TRACKS:
Please record each song separately. The recording you take should be of your singing voice only. You listen to the accompaniment track in your headphones while you record just your voice. Please be in a quiet space with no fans, talking, TV playing, or loud noises. Remember to start your recording and then clap 10 times with the metronome you hear so we can sync up all the individual voices!
AUDIO RECORDING TRACKS TO RECORD WITH:
You can listen to the tracks to record with here right on the webpage! You can also click on the right side on the audio player to “download” the audio track onto your device.
HOW TO SEND IN YOUR FINISHED RECORDINGS:
When you finished your recordings, please use the upload buttons labeled for each song to send each song file in separately. The upload button will go to the RVCC Dropbox file request for that specific song. When you upload your file, please write your Name and your VOICE PART (SI, SII, AI, AII) in the box that ask for your name.
If you provide your email address when you upload your track, Dropbox will automatically send you a confirmation email that we have received your files. You don’t need to ask us if we have received your files or if they uploaded successfully. You can be sure we got them!
If you have questions or if the Dropbox upload does not work for, you can email kirstidavidson@childrenschoir.com.
Ready to Record “Peace on Earth”
Ready to Record “Edelweiss”
It is best if each family member singing Edelweiss records their own separate audio track. This will help us create the best balance in the syncing and editing process. (If you are nervous about recording by yourself and would prefer to sing together with your chorister, you can. To do that, you would both need to sing and listen to the accompaniment track at the same time while splitting the same earbud headphones, one earbud for each person.)
C Choir singers can carefully add the “s” on the word “Edelweiss”. (ABB+ are singing no “s”. Its the C Choir only because we know you can sing the “s” exactly and carefully!)
