The SING! Kids choir is a new satellite choir program in the Roanoke Valley Children's Choir. This choir will practice once a week on Tuesdays from 6-7pm at Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church. Local music teacher and RVCC Alumni singer, Mrs. Olivia Kiser will be directing the choir, along with the help of RVCC director, Ms. Davidson.

The RVCC is known for it’s high standards in music education and artistic excellence. The SING! Kids Choir offers a bit more of a casual and flexible choir experience compared to our traditional full choir program, while still providing the same type of singing instruction and musical learning!

This is the perfect opportunity for kids to give it a try, learn something new, and see if they like singing in choir. Singing together creates a wonderful place to meet new people and make life-long friends! Each semester has 12 rehearsals ending with an exciting performance at one of the RVCC Annual Concerts. You can sign up for the whole year or just one semester at a time.

We hope to add additional locations and rehearsal times of our SING! Kids Choir satellite program to include more "neighborhoods" around the Roanoke Valley in future!

Rehearsal Schedule and Performance Dates

Rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays from 6:00 - 7:00 PM at Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church (1837 Grandin Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24015). There are 12 rehearsals per semester, a concert dress rehearsal, and two formal RVCC Concert Performances.

“SING! Kids Choir” Fall Semester: Sept. 12th - Dec. 16th, 2023

No rehearsals on Tuesday, Oct. 31st, Nov. 28th, or Dec. 12th
Concert Week Rehearsals: Thursday, Dec. 14th 6-7pm and Friday, Dec. 15th 4:30-8:30pm
RVCC’s 37th Annual Holidays Concerts on Saturday, December 16th at 3pm & 7pm at Cave Spring Baptist Church

“SING! Kids Choir” Spring Semester: Jan. 23rd - April 20th, 2024

No rehearsal on Tuesday, March 26th (Spring Break) or Tuesday, April 16th
Concert Week Rehearsals: Thursday, April 18th 6-7pm and Friday, April 19th 4:30-8:30pm

Songs

Singers in the “SING! Kids Choir” will learn and practice three songs per semester, including one standout performance at each annual concert and two songs with the combined singers of the Roanoke Valley Children's Choir during the concert finale.

For the 2023 Fall Semester, the SING! Kids Choir will be learning these fun holiday songs to perform!

Cost

Full Year (Fall + Spring): $360/year (8 payments of $45 per month)
One Semester (Fall or Spring): $200/semester (4 payments of $50 per month)

The first month’s tuition payment is due at the time of registration. After that, the remaining tuition payments can be automatically deducted on the 5th of the month if you decide to enroll in the payment plan option.
